Connected to a 60L blue open top drum, emptied the contents of my Charnwood DC50 on the floor and sucked it all up again with the cyclone in place. I'm astounded by the performance, none of it ended up in the DC50. As others have noted, it would be great if the input and output were a little longer so it would be easier to fit the hose, but it can be done, I used a couple of bridged hose connectors to get a tight fit to the 100mm hose. I did add a gasket between the two halves, made out of EPDM, which seemed to me a better solution than sealant in case I need to take it apart in the future. Great to be able to see the cyclone in operation, highly recommended.

What can I say - it's a cyclone separator. It has one purpose. I had no use for the reduction accessories as I bought the separator solely for my 4\" dust extractor, thicknesser and router table. I have a separate 63mm (2.5\") collection system, although I may add a 100mm/63mm Y piece. The reduction accessories and hose supplied are not suited to a 63mm/2.5\" system as they are smaller than required (more suited for 58mm I'm guessing). That said I only bought the item for the 4\" separator and it works perfectly - being clear perspex I can see if there's ever a problem with suction.

I am yet to set this up in my workshop but at eye's view, it appears to be a very strong and worthwhile item to attach to my Dust collection Unit.

It does its job as it should however the sizing is not quite right. It’s more like 3-3/4” I had to wrap duct tape around the inlet and outlet to get it to the correct dimension for 4” hose. supplied reducers also don’t fit correctly if you plan on using them, plan on modifications to make them stay in place. 3 star mainly for lack of support when contacting customer service.
