I would like to know where you are measuring 4”. It does not have 4” inlet or outlet and will not fit standard 4” dust collection hose without major modification. Unit is basically useless as advertised. Even the adaptors that come with it to reduce the hose size don’t fit.

Wrap two circles of sealing tape at the interface (the accessory package is free), and then connect the 4-inch hose.

What the best cfm range for the dust cyclone. Does handle wet and dry.

The recommendation is 100-800 cfm is optimal, this machine cannot handle wet.
