Great addition
Using this ramp on our pick up truck so the wife doesn’t have to be lifting my scooter up into the bed. Having a torn Achilles tendon is bad enough but hurting your caregiver’s back would be worse.

Functional
Overall the ramp/basket/hitch are well made. The only concerns I have is the bolt and lock pins. The pins are small for the size of the equipment with concerns of breakage. Other than that it serves it function as described.

Missing limitations
It is easy enough to assemble, and came in early. The problem I have is there’s a safety warning not to exceed 45MPH. It’s rated at 500 lbs capacity, and I’m only loading it with less than 200 lbs. how do you haul anything on an interstate or any road outside city limits? It should be noted in the specs that this is not for highway hauling.

It's a kit
I could have bought this in aluminum. It probably would have returned to pieces. My van is low and this drags occasionally and has bent. I put hard rubber bumpers in my coil springs and that helped a lot. Be fastidious with your speed controller when loading your go buggy. Thank you well built Pacific Islander for putting my cart back on the carrier. Do not try to put a hitch square expander on your little square hitch and think this will work. Loaded it will tear itself off.

Poor assembly directions
If you have limited experience assembling such things, you may have problems. There's no real text, Only pictures. Otherwise the carrier seems ok. I'm adding some lights, like a boat trailer...just in case.

Good wheelchair Carrier . But buy new and get all parts
This was fine came quick. 4 stars because of parts listed but not in the box . This came with the wheelchair carrier and bar but no straps and no stabilizer bar .. so I have learned my lesson. Thought I was saving money. But it ended up costing me more .

Not as sturdy as I thought it would be. U-bolt for anti rattle was stripped like it was previously used. A new one would be nice.

hitch mount cargo carrier
it sits up too high. does not reach the ground. I bought to use with my handicap scooter and I have to lift it on the carrier because the ramp does not touch the ground.

Beware! You get what you pay for.
Assembly went ok for the most part, instructions could be better.
The warning sticker on it says 45MPH max.. seems absurd since vehicles do go down the highways at 70MPH here.
the straps to secure the scooter are a joke.
This hauler is pretty flimsy and lightweight. It is just adequate barring some things.:
The pin and hairpin included to hold the ramp up is not the right size and where the hole is drilled in it allows the hairpin to turn sideways and fall out. I changed it out for a better quality and larger pin that fits better.i was at the grocery store one day and the hairpin was gone.. luckily the round pin was still there holding the ramp. i had to scramble for a paper clip to secure it to get back home.
Its built out of light materials. just barely adequate. You get what you pay for.
The ramp is too short unless u have a very low vehicle or drop hitch. i have to fight my golden scooter onto it and off of it because it gets high centered. My truck is just a 2014 GMC work truck, single cab, stock height. the ramp needs to be at least 6" longer i suspect.
If you don't want hassles, buy a better carrier!!!
