We used it to go Myrtle Beach for a couple weeks it worked great plus I have used it to haul sand bag and top soil I would recommend it to others but I installed lights on the back for better visibility at night

This thing is tuff. I have been using g at work on the back of my honda element. My tailgate can drop fully and not hit the basket. The basket can carry a lot of weight. Im 6'1' 200 lbs and i can stand on it on jump up and down no problem lol I can get it on and off my element pretty easily but it would be a lot easier with a second person. I also have the vevor roof rack and I love it too.except for their big ugly orange logo witch I removed with a scraper. It was painted on. I then resprayed it with black pai t. So far I'm very happy with vevor and I ordered a set of kyak rack and a couple of D2 steele pocket knives. Ill review them after they get some good use. Buy with confidence as this cargo basket wo t disappoint:)

Easy to assemble, pretty well built

This is one of my best purchases I've made. I usually don't post a review. If you need extra cargo space for anything, just buy it. Wish they make a 1000 lbs version. But 500 lbs is enough lol.

Great value. This cargo carrier has plenty of room. The bag is very large and kept all of our luggage clean and dry on recent trip from MN to TX and back on sloppy roads.

Weak weld for the piece under the strut

After one trip I'm very pleased with the quality and useability of this hitch carrier. It loses a perfect score by having an assembly bolt hole that wouldn't line up during assembly as other reviewers have mentioned. I spent a minute drilling the hole out and the rest of assembly went perfect. Without my own power drill I would have returned immediately. The ride with a load is quiet and you don't notice it's there. I feel it would rattle bad if empty. If sliding rack into receiver is done in the folded up position it's quite easy, even though it is not super light. Regarding the fold away option, because the rack is designed to fold up out of way, the rack height is 4 inches higher than receiver height. Some may welcome the extra ground clearance but I felt a hitch level with the receiver would have provided ample clearance but kept the load lower to make license plate and brake lights move visible. Something to keep in mind. As it stands, the bottom of rack is 18 inches off ground on my car. The accessories are quite good. The included waterproof bag seems solid, with thick material, a finger pull zipper and velcro cover. The bag fits the rack well and the included straps worked great. The great thing about the bag is how many loose items it will hold. As long as the bag is secure they are not going anywhere and they are out of the elements. For our first trip it held 2 inflatable kayaks, 4 kayak seats, 4 paddles and 4 life jackets, easy. This hitch rack is very good value regardless of the minor install issue.

The tray is sort of heavy so it is a pain to keep having to lift and costless it around to get the bolt and pin to fit in the hole in order to secure it

Great carrier overall. It's really heavy, making it a bit difficult to attach to t your vehicle. Once it's in place, it's perfect!

Met our expectations. It was a game changer for our family on our road trip. We loved that we could still open our back hatch to get the stroller out when it was attached. We used it for a road trip with the family and were so happy to be able to fit our play pen and all of our other necessary stuff. Loved the water proof bag too. Only thing I would improve on is how difficult it was to get into the bag.
