New 10" Blade Commercial Deli Food slicer
I am loving this slicer. I use it mostly for slicing roasts up for lunchmeat. I so dreaded waiting at the grocer deli for sliced meat/cheese that I got this. I have never regretted it. I did try slicing partially frozen beef roast to use for steak sandwiches and it did a nice job but too messy for me and removing the blade for cleaning that mess was not so easy. Great slicer, great price.

I keep hearing how great this slicer is..........
I purchased this to a very dear friend. She has been raveing about this since she received it. She picked it out online and I purchased it for her. She uses it daily. She has it on a rolling wood utility table. Now her children buy large bulk items like hams and cheese for warehouse. they bring the items to her house for sliceing. great product.

i love this slicer!!!!
always wanted a commercial slicer and after searching and reviewing many others i decided on this one and have not been disapointed so far (bought for xmas) this is no cheap made slicer, its heavy, 52 lbs. so it does not slide when using. the 10" blade is great for slicing bigger rolls of deli meat ect. its easy to clean but you should put it someplace where you will keep it because as i said it is heavy. ive sliced deli meats and cheeses, breads, veggies, anything i can slice. the price was affordable and the machine is comparable to some costing twice the price. even though it fits well on my kitchen counter i purchased a small stainless steel prep table with wheels to keep it on so i can roll it where i want. if you want an excellent slicer, i suggest you bypass the smaller cheaper ones and check this one out, you will be pleased.

Quiet,powerful,the real deal.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a slicer for slicing large amounts of meat. I sliced two deer roasts and two homemade ham loins all at the the same time. 8 lbs. total in less than 10 minutes. Then froze into half pound packs for the kids lunches. Just thaw them as you need them. The reason for doing large amounts is that it is a chore to clean. I expected that. After 4 or 5 times you'll get the hang of it and I can clean it in 15 minutes. I do the cooked meat first then raw venison or beef last, that way the cooked food isn't contaminated. This is heavy, a little difficult to store because of its size, and a little cumbersome to take apart. But my kids will inherit it someday, its built to last. We feel much healthier eating homade lunch meat without all the crap and additives in it. Plus any wild game enthusiasts will really be happy they didn't get a wimpy 7 or 8 inch slicer with a tiny motor that overheats, is made out of plastic, and can barely slice though a hotdog. Does your truck have a 4 cylinder or a v8? This is the V8. Just get it you won't regret it. I looked at slicers for 5 years before I picked this one-no regrets.

Great for Deli use
I recently purchased this as a replacement for our 12" slicer that had went down in the deli. This slicer works fine and is light enough to be moved to clean underneath. Don't hesitate to buy this esp considering the price.

cool meat slicer
I just got my slicer and it is the best for the price ,like most real meat slicers not real easy to clean but cut meat and cheese like a dream so you need to cut a load and then clean it. You will like it

Cut it thin to win
i'm not qualified to discuss durability as I just got this and used it only once. In the past I've used a small fold-up type slicer which performed poorly. People here have objected to the cleaning task. Frankly it was almost as difficult to disassemble my cheap and ineffective rival for cleaning as this thing. Moreover, I have never cleaned a Hobart or any other commercial slicer so I can't properly compare. it does take a little time to remove parts and clean, but my guess is that that is the case for most of the 10" models. I love the ease of slicing, the quality of the slice and the thinness. I won't be buying a dinky piece of meat and then slicing it - the cleanup is too much. But a 6 lb roast? Now you're taking. I just have to find a small forklift to haul this thing around. Perhaps my mother-in-law will do it!

Boyfriend approved
I bought this for my boyfriend's birthday (he did pick it out). He smokes meat and also makes sausage. He wanted to be able to slice items thinner than what we were doing with an electric knife and for the pieces to look good/uniform after slicing. We also want to use it on homemade bread for uniform slices. He used it all weekend and is happy with it. He said it was not the easiest thing to clean but knew that it would probably be that way. Since we are not using it for commercial purposes we are struggling with where to store it, but we knew that was coming also.

Cuts like a dream
Very good construction. Very nice to use and works as it should. Again not rocket science. Duh !!!

Love it
Had a bigger industrial slicer. This is a great size and slices just as good. Had to sharpen the blade first, which is easy to do once you figure it out, directions don’t help much. Sharpen with the stone BEHIND the blade, you may have to adjust the sharpener by lifting it before you tighten it. Use front stone, for a few seconds, to remove burs. Cleaning the entire unit, including removing the blade, takes about 15 minutes from start to finish.Update: Mostly use for slicing jerky. I do not partially freeze it and this machine cuts through nicely. Slicing items a little thicker is easy to do. Slicing paper thin is a task many slicers cannot handle. I was so pleasantly surprised that this slicer did such a wonderful job that I had to post a picture of the ham slices.
