I went back and forth for two years on buying a slicer. This was and is the one.Love it

Love how easy this is to use. It cuts very nicely, everything. Tomatoes, pickles, cheese, meat, raw meat, onion....thin is great.

The unit arrived with no instructions. Had to make many adjustments to get it to work properly. Had to relube the guide, had to readjust everything. Almost sent it back.

Slice everything very nicely thin or thick and easy to clean

Quite happy with this slicer. It is generally uses good material; workmanship is so-so. There are some manufacturing blemishes - nothing that impacts function. I have used the slicer a dozen times or so. No problems with it. People always complain about cleaning meat slicers; this one is par for the course. I found nothing particularly objectionable while cleaning it. Disassembly is pretty straight forward. The most difficult part of cleaning is the size of some of the parts. The meat tray comes off easily but is still large and a bit awkward to wash. The other part that warrants mentioning, is the blade. It is a large solid piece of metal; it weighs approx 5 lbs. Don't underestimate the difficulty in handling 5 lbs of sharp, wet, slippery metal. Be careful.

Very, very good machine. I have cut 10 slabs of bacon with skin on and I have had to sharpen the blade after number 8. You really have to be careful using the sharpening stones; they are of poor quality but can also be replaced. A little tough to clean inside the blade guard but almost all major brands are as well. It slices well, it slices smoothly. Do bot use the hand guard on the side of a product; it tears it up but does not hold onto it. The slices are really nice.

This is one of the best slicers I have ever used.I have used many slicer Hobart is one of the top of the line slicers and this one is a close second.to thatI would recommend it to anyone who wants a slicer that will last.The only drawback is that it doesn't slice that last little bit and leaves about a half inch of what ever you are slicing.But overall it is a great slicer
