When I finally realised what was wrong it worked fine, please be aware that the wiring was wrong. The red lead and black leads were opposite to what they should be, the red being earth and black positive.

I have just ordered a DCEX40 transfer pump . Does it come with inlet and outlet and auto shutoff nozel or do U have to order separately.
This is a separate oil pump, you need to configure the oil pipe and oil gun yourself.
