Wife had ankle surgery;. This chair was a life saver - not only for the shower, but sitting up to the sink for hand wash, makeup, hair wash, etc. It's stable, sturdy but light weight to move around. Super easy to move around. Would recommend to anyone facing surgery or just a little unstable

I love this. I have a fractured femur and can't walk or put weight on my leg. Sponge baths are okay but nothing like a shower to give you hope and help see light at the end of the tunnel. Bench is comfortable and easy to slide into the bathtub.
