Very thick and sturdy, should hold up for a long time. I installed along the base of a chain link fence to keep gravel in the yard, for added privacy as there is a downslope behind the house, and to keep ally cats from crawling under the fence. I was very pleased with the product. A rubber mallet is sufficient to pound the strips in, with loose soil.

Short version: These are solid. Very thick and heavy. Easy to install if your ground isn't hard or rocky.Long version: We have intentional spaces in our sidewalk that allow the flower beds to extend through the sidewalk to the yard (see picture). I didn't want the rocks in the flower bed spilling out to the yard so I needed some sort or barrier along the edge of the sidewalk. I can't stand that plastic edging junk that is cheap and easy to find as it is a pain to install and doesn't hold up well. So, I gave this product a try. It is very thick and sturdy. I used a block of wood and a hammer to force it down in the ground along the edge of the flower bed. DO NOT hit the metal itself with a hammer as this will warp the metal and damage the finish. My method was to lay the wood on the product and hit the wood with the hammer, working my way from one end to the other and back until the whole thing was buried to the depth I wanted. I could tell I hit rocks in a few spots and that was pretty difficult, just more pounding with the hammer than in the rock-free spots. I had to turn a corner with this edging and that was when I really started to appreciate how robust this material is. It is HARD to bend. I got it done, though, and it looks great. Already had a few compliments on how sleek and clean it looks. Can't speak for the long term durability of the black finish yet but I suspect it will be just fine.

Used this as edging in the front to keep out centipede grass and to form circular gardens in my back.

I bought the 5 inch a few years back and due to various things I never installed it until recently. When we were through, we looked at the outside of our cobblestone walkway and the old plastic edging curled over time under the cobbles. Well Lets get more edging as the flower beds look so so good. We opted this time for the 3 inch due to it abutting our lawn, and we did not want the riding mower to the miss grass or be hampered by a taller one. We just began adding them and it is so easy but we got side tracked by weeds, they are gone now, and wow it is looking so nice. I might just have to buy more for along my front, as the grass begins growing into the landscape. It is a more [permanent way to make your home look great, and if you get scratches you can spray them with matt black paint, and boom , new again. Great company, fast shipping , a rubber mallet with work really well to help install.

The BEST diy metal edging in the market. So easy to instal and looks professional and sturdy. I will order a lot more very soon. You get 30 plus ft in each box. Even has gloves to install the product. Bends very easily around curves. Connects seamlessly with another piece using provided hardware. Simply outstanding product for the price.

Way better than the contractor grade silver edging that gets installed on most sites. We chose the black to match the trim and gutters of our home. Happy with the look. Metal is strong and will last a long time.

We bought these to go on the outside of a chain link fence to help with water flow and erosion, and make edge trimming a little easier. Our neighbors landscaper complained that our chain link fence was ruining his trimmer cord. We put these in on the outside on an incline that was not level. I decided not to snap them together, but rather install them individually to better contour the ground. I also used 10-in black metal stakes to help secure them. These are very easy to install, but I highly recommend doing it when the ground is soft or wet. We did this after a rainstorm and it worked very well. If you are going to lock connect them, I recommend having a good screwdriver and heavy duty pliers. These are thicker gauge metal and do not bend easily in the hooks. When bending and contouring to your landscape, these are easy to shape into place. Go slowly.

High quality edging. Much sturdier that other brands at higher prices. Highly recommend for its durability, appearance, and easiness of installation. Spikes are hard to bend if needed for certain rocky areas or terrain.

These are very high quality and durable compared to other brands. It was very easy to install them and they block grass, weeds, etc to move into the flower beds. Looks stunning as a bonus. I highly suggest these if you want to have high-end look edging material for a reasonable price.

Seems like a good product but will know better a few years down the road. Hopefully it doesn’t rust to quickly.Looks great though!
