I needed to drill 241 5/8 inch holes in my welding table. This mag drill performed perfectly! The magnet is strong. When activated, pulling on the drill would move my whole welding table. I would highly recommend this drill for the occasional use or at least 241 holes!

This is the best tool I have purchased in years. Initially used to bore holes in a bobcat skid steer cab that was very corroded (then welded plugs). Made it a quick neat repair. Also used to bore broken wheel bolts from a tractor on situ without removing a wheel full of water. Quality cutting bits were expensive but worth it. Works well as a drill on a steel bench where I can slide the item round on a sheet of timber.

Purchased this drill with the intention of using it quite a lot. Drilling through 7mm thick RHS, with only a step drill boring straight to 27mm with out even a pilot hole, it didn't even skip a beat. The variable speed dial is a great function when drilling, just the ability to control exactly how fast you are going is really useful to not burn out your bits
Going from nearly braking my wrist to doing 40+ holes in a few hours.
The only thing was if there was any little metal shavings on the magnetic surface it would not grab as tightly but a little brush off just before you put it on made all the difference.
