Perfect for our needs. Takes some tools eg drill and a means to lift up the side of you hot tub/spa to slide plates underneath. The self-tapping screws that came with hardware did not always work well. Even if predrilled. Committed to positioning as poles are designed to be screws together. Maybe the next upgrade could have spring loaded pin adjustments or something..

The weight of the cover bent the lift. Still works just bent and uneven.

Sorry, but complete JUNK! Welded footing way to thin for weight of top.. Can slide out, bend, ect. I replaced the old one with much sturdier footing.

This is not a hot tub cover. It's just the hardware to attach a cover. When I realized this I tried to return it, but was told I was out of time. I kind of get that. But then again what's the difference. It's the same item and un-used.

The lift seems ok for the price, a little light but much cheaper than others. When the box arrived it had been opened and as I searched the contents I could tell that a previous purchaser had opened each package and the little screws and bushings were scattered throughout. In addition, someone had started drilling holes in the piping and left quite a few scratches. Since I could find that all of the parts were still intact I opted to keep and assemble but I would urge future purchasers to carefully look the package over and inventory the parts.

It does the job after assembly is finished, but it is a rough road to get there. The instructions are terrible, the manufacturing of the apparatus is about 80% finished, so you have to finish crafting it while putting it together. Includes making your own measurements and drilling holes though metal, and at the end the parts don't all align correctly. Overall, it's shoddy, and I needed cinder blocks to weigh it down because forget about inserting the base underneath a 4.5 thousand pound tub. I also wasn't going to drill through frozen concrete, so $1 cinder blocks do the job.

It took me two weeks to return this product. The pictures and the description don’t exactly match because there were a couple different products that are shown for the same picture so it’s a little confusing. They put me through a multitude of hoops just to return the darn thing. Customer service wasn’t bad just took way too long for a simple return.
