I bought this because the name brand versions are astronomically priced for basically the same thing. That said, I was a little skeptical because of that reason. I've always heard "you get what you pay for". This bearing puller is very well made and heavy enough that pulling bearings off of the ring gear and pinion of an 8.8 Ford was a piece of cake. There was absolutely no cutting necessary and I was able to keep the pinion bearings to use for setup of the new one. This is an excellent and useful tool for a fraction of the cost. Highly recommended!

Worked so good we laughed. My buddy came over with the diff. We installed the tool, hit it with the impact, it was off in seconds. It was over so quick and was so anti climactic that we just broke out laughing. In a world where you usually need to tap things with a hammer and apply heat to get parts apart, this was a breath of fresh air.

Well I was sure the arms were to big for my 60 hp outboard and I was correct so I reverted to the store bought tool I was using, a turnbuckle w a eyelet and a hook end. Mariner tools are not commonly available or extremely expensive so I improvise alot. But due to the sturdy size of the Vevor tool I rigged it up and hammered on it. It was being very difficult to get carrier out but it finally came out anything would collapsed bravo to another perfect Vevor designed tool.
