L'utilisation aurait été plus pratique si les notices avaient été rédigées en dialecte de Jean-Baptiste Poquelin (MOLIERE) langage officiel utilisé sur le territoire français. Ne connaissant pas cette lague, j'ai été contraints de faire appel à un service de traduction. I haven't actually ran a batch through, but the assembly looks to be very well built. (And, less than half than others wanted.) I haven't used it yet, so I thought NO score on "easy to use" would work. I didn't want to leave a great rating, because I don't know how it works. Also, did NOT want to leave a single star, but something is required. (I left 3, trying to be in the middle on that.)

Very happy with this still. I distill for my first try some fermented apple juice, and I got at the second run 70% abv. the tri clamp system is easy to use and can be use to expand the system in the future.This still is worth the money.

For disinfection i was using 50/50 apple vinegar and water solution, steamed for 30 minutes after that distilled filtered water to remove vinegar smell.First attempt : From 1 kg of herbs ( Added to gauze bag ) and 13 liters of water got about 8 liters of hydrosol ( foreheads, heads, tails removed ). Stainless steamer grid was submerged about 1 cm, but you can add water below steamer grid. When steam appear from outlet tube, disconnect heating source. For better results buy separate silicone hose for impurities discharge valve, and for water cooling if needed. Cons : 1. Pot is shaking when water temperature rises to 100 degrees celsius, then it stops shaking ( i will buy separate silicone strap ). 2. Does not work with induction cooker.
