After one trip I'm very pleased with the quality and useability of this hitch carrier. It loses a perfect score by having an assembly bolt hole that wouldn't line up during assembly as other reviewers have mentioned. I spent a minute drilling the hole out and the rest of assembly went perfect. Without my own power drill I would have returned immediately. The ride with a load is quiet and you don't notice it's there. I feel it would rattle bad if empty. If sliding rack into receiver is done in the folded up position it's quite easy, even though it is not super light. Regarding the fold away option, because the rack is designed to fold up out of way, the rack height is 4 inches higher than receiver height. Some may welcome the extra ground clearance but I felt a hitch level with the receiver would have provided ample clearance but kept the load lower to make license plate and brake lights move visible. Something to keep in mind. As it stands, the bottom of rack is 18 inches off ground on my car. The accessories are quite good. The included waterproof bag seems solid, with thick material, a finger pull zipper and velcro cover. The bag fits the rack well and the included straps worked great. The great thing about the bag is how many loose items it will hold. As long as the bag is secure they are not going anywhere and they are out of the elements. For our first trip it held 2 inflatable kayaks, 4 kayak seats, 4 paddles and 4 life jackets, easy. This hitch rack is very good value regardless of the minor install issue.

looks good clean fast delivery but i wont put 500 lbs on it ...i say 250 lbs max to feel safe

The tray is sort of heavy so it is a pain to keep having to lift and costless it around to get the bolt and pin to fit in the hole in order to secure it

Easy assembly, sturdy product. Sizing was great for a cooler or large container in my case. Provided ratchet straps also worked well. I used for an approximate 200lbs load and I would not dare go to the advertised 500lbs capacity. While sturdy just based on my use case I can tell it would bend the main center bar at capacity.

Great carrier overall. It's really heavy, making it a bit difficult to attach to t your vehicle. Once it's in place, it's perfect!

Met our expectations. It was a game changer for our family on our road trip. We loved that we could still open our back hatch to get the stroller out when it was attached. We used it for a road trip with the family and were so happy to be able to fit our play pen and all of our other necessary stuff. Loved the water proof bag too. Only thing I would improve on is how difficult it was to get into the bag.

Can hold my generator, and four 50 qt coolers.

Bought for camping trip. Works well enough, although I would add more structural integrity to the bottom/floor of the unit. The welded mesh feels flimsy.

Upon unboxing I found dents and paint damaged. This will shorten the life of the item as it will rust faster. I need partial refund.

I read the reviews and ordered it. It is what it is. If you are looking for price first it is good, quality ‘no so much. Another cheap “chinesium” product. Metal is light weight, stripped two bolts assembling it. It will work, but I am probably ordering another USA made product on the near future.
