Does what it's supposed to do, I had zero concerns when using it. Only reason I would take a star (or .5 if they let me) is that the hook is way overkill and is actually quite heavy, the biner is oddly oversized from what I expected, and the adjustable let out / brake feels a bit more loose at the start then I would think I'd like but to be fair it works as intended, just wish it had more friction when open. All of that said, you expect trade offs like that when you are talking a fraction of the normal prices you pay for the name brand stuff, and I would rather a knock off item be overbuilt and heavier rather than feel like a cheap piece of junk. Would never suggest this for someone actually getting into tree work, but for the occasional usage around the house at the property owner level this feels like a perfect balance point between usability and cost.
