It isn't constructed the greatest. You can tell the quality is a little rough. We had to also make our own air control dampers as there are none with the unit we bought. But it does heat up fast and works well for the hobby forging we do.

Acheté pour fondre de l'alu en moule sable, pour couler du cuivre en lingotières et pour réaliser mes alliages cuivre/aluminium pour couler mes garnitures de coutellerie. Je connais ce four acheté en connaissance de cause pour l'avoir souvent utilisé chez un ami. Pas vraiment prêt à l'emploi dès sa sortie du carton, il faut obligatoirement protéger la laine de céramique soit par badigeon de ciment réfractaire, soit en pulvérisant un durcisseur adapté. Pour faciliter l'allumage, j'ai glissé un tube coulissant sur chaque brûleur qui masquent partiellement les ouïes d'arrivée d'air juste pendant cette phase, ça évite de se griller sourcils et cheveux. La pince de manipulation du creuset livrée est à oublier, surtout en version 12kg, elle se révèle trop dangereuse. Il faudra se bricoler ou se procurer une pince qui serre sur le diamètre du creuset. Il faudra aussi d'autres creusets pour éviter de polluer le métal à fondre par les précédents. Enfin, la fonction forge, four à l'horizontale est un argument de vente, mais absolument pas une utilisation réaliste sans aménager une fermeture du four. J'ai pris ce four car s'il faut acheter séparément chaque composants, mon four maison m'aurait coûté bien plus cher....

Great furnace with a huge crucible. Works as advertised heats up fast and can smelt like crazy. Only downside is the top insulation tends to sag leaving the thin top metal not protected. Hasn't burnt through yet but most probably wil

I always wanted to melt gold and I was very excited when I order this. It is easy to assemble and a very neat furnace but the instructions on how to use it are not that clear. So I watched youtube video and realized that it is not really for beginners, you need to learn things before use. It is easy to use once you watch some \"how to\" videos.

The regular leeks badly around the control knob. I am not impressed with the quality at all. I would recommend not buying this.

Saw Farmcraft101 on youtube talk about this figured I'd give it a try as I've wanted to get into melting down some metal for lathe work. Easy set up the instructions were easy enough to understand. Did not come with refractory cement to put on the wool which is kind of a bummer but I had some from another project so I made due. The dual burner gets the furnace nice and hot real quick. The crucible and tongs that come with the kit are good enough to get started if you get hooked though you will probably want other tongs especially to assist in pouring. I've also used it as a forge for some blacksmithing again this works well gets the pieces up to temp quick. The opening is rather large when used as a forge on its side so its definately not a long term solution but for the price and versatility its a pretty solid unit. I'd recommend this to people looking to get into melting metal or even as a cheap starter forge for blacksmithing.

It does what it is intended to do. Spend a little money and buy some ridgidsizer before you coat it with fire cement

Overall, quite happy with the quality and price and in the end, service. HOWEVER, Does NOT ship with a regulator to fit Australian Standard POL cylinders, so not plug and play. Minor thing, 2 of the 3 lugs holding the insulation in the lid were broken off and loose in the box. Refractory cement supplied is barely enough, especially if you do the lid, (probably should not have in hindsight), but not mentioned anywhere in the manual to do or not. I used a 1kg tub of air set refractory mortar from Bunnings (about $25) that finished the supplied mortar very nicely. So for Australia factor in a new 30psi regulator and hose and adaptor and you will have a spare reg if you ever move to America PS Was almost ready to send a much less flattering review but... Vevor has reached out and offered a partial refund that I hope will cover the replacement parts

L'équipement est bien conçu, cela pourrait être plus massif mais donc plus lourd, l'inox fait le travail escompté. La laine de céramique fournie résiste à la chaleur mais ne la conserve pas. Pour optimiser l'inertie de la chaleur au sein du creuset, car il est nécessaire pour monter à haute température, il serait préférable de fournir l'enduit réfractaire, celui que j'ai posé ici résiste à une température de 1600°C, il n'est pas facile à se procurer et assez coûteux, il m'aura fallu 3 kg. Il est également nécessaire de fabriquer ou bien de se procurer du matériel solide et fiable, tel que les pinces, car utiliser la fonderie en versant du métal en fusion sans celà pourrait rapidement s'avérer dangereux.
