I'm very impressed with this welder and it's capabilities I have only used it a couple of times but it is awesome to be able to do repairs when you need to
I finally got around to getting a welder. There have been a few projects that needed to be taken care of. After researching features and prices, I decided to go with this multi-welder. I'm just an at home person, nothing commercial, and this fits my needs and budget.
Really like this welder. I started using it on thick steel with 3.2mm rods. It handled it fine and arc struck easily. Only stuck the rod a few times on a large difficult job.
I changed over to gas less flux core MIG to weld a bunch of 1.2 piling material but did not use the crappy wire that came with the unit. Do yourself a favour and go buy a 5kg spool of good wire capable of multiple passes. The MIG works fine.
I have not used the TIG so no comment about TIG.
The only complaint is the MMA wires for rod welding are pathetically short! Too bad they let themselves down on this point.
I am using this welder in Australia and will probably buy one from Vevor Canada when I am over there for half the year.
Just learning, machine is awesome, easy to use, easy to carry, MIG outstanding, good value. A must to incorporate 15 to 10amp adapter if using 10amp house plug. (ARLEC adapter cost 50 bucks).
