This dividing head is not a bad deal for the price point when compared to other brands in this size range. The accuracy of this is OK for the hobbyist that is not working within very tight tolerances, it is out of tolerance 1 degree in it's 360 degree rotation. When received it is highly recommended that it be disassembled and CLEANED! The worm gear for the head rotation is very sticky and has what appears to grit/fine sand/lapping compound mixed with the grease ... not sure for the reason of this?! The rotation pin/locating handle was stuck and somewhat rusty inside and had to be disassembled and cleaned to make functional. The manual that comes with this is mostly worthless with the exception of the indexing charts in the back! With this being said it is not a bad tool for the cost and will make a very good cost effective tool for someone that is desiring to learn how to use this type of tool without the cost of one that is three times the price.

Perfect size for my small mill. Looks like a copy of the old Brown and Sharp design. Reasonably well made and finished but will benefit from strip down, deburr, thorough wash out, regrease and careful set up. My unit now turns and adjusts in all directions smoothly and easily with no play or tight spots and minimal backlash. Same goes for the chuck. For the price there is nothing else out there to touch it. Ideal purchase for the home shop. Very pleased, great value.

nice peice, just dirty as heck. Needs to be torn down and cleaned prior to use. Not sure why it is not done at the plant when made.

Quite happy with my purchase overall. Just one bizarre thing about it: The graduations starting from 0 to 360 degrees start and end precisely but there is a discrepancy in the values of the graduations. For example if you start on 0 with degrees line and reference lines coinciding exactly and make 10 revs with the alidade, the 2 lines don't coincide on 90 degree position. How they could achieve this while performing the engraving beats me. You just have to rely on alidade and disc combination if accuracy is needed. Don't trust the graduations! Otherwise, excellent value for money and sturdy construction.

As usual with Vevor, ordering was fine with fast and free shipping! I look at all these Chinese machine tools as kits which have to be disassembled, cleaned, and reworked, then you probably have something that you can work with. This was no exception. Cleaned out all the grit and schwarf then reassembled. Once reassembled, there is .015" backlash which cannot be adjusted out without locking the whole thing up. I suspect alot of the backlash is because there is .009" of slop with the handle input shaft and its bearing sleeve. The output shaft thread protector would only thread half way, so the internal threads had to be recut. Indexing plates were unmarked and needed to be stamped with their correct number of holes. Chuck is OK with .003" runout. Disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly went fine. Body is not hardened, jaws and internal gears are. Overall, it is not bad for the price. Would have been nice to reduce the backlash more but beggars can't be choosers.

I immediately stripped it down completely. Filed and sanded the burrs and edges. Cleaned and inspected it entirely. About 4, maybe 5 hours of that plus i built a storage box for it as its box was pretty ratty after delivery.Biggest con i found was the spindle clamp is a little too beefy for the size clamping screw, plus it has too loose of a fit. I easily fit .003" shim into that fit so you have to really reef on the poor little clamp screw to lock the spindle. Its gonna snap the screw.I considered a few options how to address that, but ultimately decided to do nothing for now, (the screw will snap in the middle of an operation, spoiling the work, im sure.)Other cons: the brass angle clamps didnt look the right color, turns out they stick to a magnet lol see picture. A couple cross tip screws were pre-chewed up. The etched on graduations appear accurate but are a little light in color. Couple tool marks, and a few dented edges. The instructions encompass the next two bigger models. That's all i could find being super picky.I got this thing dialed right in after reassembly. I havent dealt with the accessories or the chuck yet but its all there.. excellent machining on the major components. Besides the spindle clamp that is. Genuinely impressed overall. Its a toy for me but i have a few projects in mind and always wanted one. For now its coated in oil and will sit in a box. Would be really cool for a home-made cnc.

This is amazing quality for the price. The manual was not high quality, with black and white photocopy quality. I had to search for a colour manual which was still not great quality. It turns out this is copy of other brands and their manuals are better. For instance, how do you use it without the check? It has the components for it but lacks instructions on when this would be used. What should I expect in the box? Did I get everything I was supposed to? what are the bolts I received actually used for? The adjustments are also unclear. And yet, that said, the build quality and features for this price point are exceptional. The chuck alone is almost with this price. The shipping was days slower than advertised, and yet full tracking was given and even the postage was reasonable for the weight. Their call centre was also very hard to get through. I called and they tell me there's nobody to speak to and hang up on me. I had to try half a dozen time but when I did get through to someone they were able to help very quickly. This overall a great item and although Vevor's shipping time and customer service needs attention, I will definitely be buying more from Vevor.
