QC on these aren't the best; strip the paint upon getting it to check for casting voids or cracks. If you get a good one, though, for the price they're the best anvil to learn on. Face is a touch soft, but if you miss a strike and bash it, it's easy to level off with a grinder and for the price you wont feel too bad about a few dents. Even in a professional shop these still have a good working spot as a dedicated spring die or tooling anvil. I love mine, worth the buy!

Decent anvil. Non traditional shape. Could use hardening and polishing of surfaces but definitely adequate.

The anvil exceeded all my expectations, could not find one flaw. The ball bounce was very good, as good as my $500 dollar anvil. This one is very nice for all the smaller things I like to do.

Shipping was fast and arrived in a nice plywood box that was in damaged. I am more than happy with this anvil. I would recommend this anvil to anyone wanting one. Put it to work immediately and it is awesome.

Classic \"Peddinghaus\" design, has hardy holes and utility in shaping small projects such as making wrought iron projects, small knives and small swords.....which I am planning to do!

I received the 22 LBS anvil a few days ago . I am very impressed with quality good machining on all surfaces . When striking anvil it rings like a bell ,good sign of quality but it has a 5/8\" Hardy hole and I cant find any tools for that size . I found 1\", 7/8\" 3/4\" no 5/8\" . I really like the anvil . But I need accessories to shape things. Mike Ski, Masshole

Just as expected. Arrived early.

Anvil in good order as described. Packaging was poor. Two small pieces of plywood in ends of cardboard box did nothing to secure anvil. It allowed anvil to roll around in box. Completely tore the box up. I'm surprised it even arrived.
