Blacksmithing Anvil
Great Starter Anvil for those looking to start a forge & getting into Blacksmithing. Arrived quickly and safely. Happy & Satisfied with the Anvil purchased. Has been a great way to get my son interested in Blacksmithing.

Good quality at a a great price. It might be small but it's perfect for light fabrication tasks in a small workshop.

Durability question... about an anvil? Really, Amazon?
I mean, it's a great big lump of steel, and a good one at that. My resident smith is pretty happy with it. Shipping warning: it came in a cardboard box with a layer of bubble wrap around it, which was woefully inadequate. The poor delivery person struggled mightily to get it to the door, then turfed it out unceremoniously onto the concrete, which yielded somewhat to the might of this item. I'm not sure how to fix that except maybe to put out some plywood and tip money when the delivery is expected. The anvil itself meets expectations.

Ever wish you had a lump to shape metal on?. This is it, light enough to move. I mounted it on hardwood to protect the concrete floor. Hammer away.

For the price cant beat it however there are some slight issues. The hardy hole has some left over steel from casting so its not fully square and the hardy hole is practically useless but its a good anvil and well worth the money.

heavy solid anvil
105lbs on my scale, not as big or heavy as i thought it would be but perfect so far,i got a huge ratchet strap and a chain holding it down to a block of drift wood. if you really want a heavy anvil and have a chance to get a bigger one even 200lbs for similar money or a bit more i would say go for it though, this thing is solid but an averagely strong man can pick it up n move it around pretty easily.

Good starter anvil for the price.
Have you seen the price of old anvils lately? I’m not saying they are not worth $2k, but realistically how many novice blacksmiths / bladesmiths have that kind of money? I bought this anvil and mounted it to a massive 18” diameter piece of oak, using a tube of silicone spread out between the two surfaces to deaden the ring a bit. The hardy required some fileing in the corners and I dressed the working surface edges with flap disks in an angle grinder. This is a good anvil for the price, especially if you are forging 1/4” or 3/8” bar stock or similar diameter rods of mild steel.

Great little anvil for forging blades, had to dress the sides they were to sharp but THATS normal both the Pritchel and hardy holes are handy. Thank you for a overall good product.

Unbelievable foundation for a small home forge.
Absolutely beautiful anvil upon arrival. Fits all my needs for a small home forge. Used mainly in knife making.
