I was a bit nervous about attempting the wiring myself, but found a video on YouTube. It was a straight replacement for a Hayward CSPA-X1 - the wiring was the same - simply connect one power line to the 2 reds on L1 and the other power line to the 2 black on L2. And, connect the ground. They supply 2 pipe fittings. These are a bit cheap and leaked when I put my 1.5" pipes in there - I had to use Pegatanke epoxy resin to stop them. The only downside I can find is that my Hayward would come on when the pump came on (per a timer). This one is manually controlled. Thete are pros and cons with that. On the whole, I'm delighted. It has cost me a fraction of what a new Hayward would have cost.

It is beyond simple/easy to operate, which is a definite pro. I recommend simply planning a little ahead when heating any body of water however, as it takes at least a few hours to get up to temperature. If you've got that easy step down, then you'll enjoy it as much as me!

Did exactly as advertised. Electrical and plumbing hook up was a breeze. Could not ask for better at the low cost

nothing works great

Takes a little while to get the spa to get hot. But a great value for the price.

The only problem was the pvc size wasn’t an exact match (a bit smaller), which was an easy fix, but a bit of a hassle.

Nice price piping didn’t match up to our hot tub though. DG
