I've got 2 lifepo4 12v 300ah batteries that I can link to make 24v and require 1200w power from solar panels to maintain their charge. Will this work to power standard Australian appliances that normally run on 240v house systems?
Sure. However, it’s best to use two batteries that are the same age, brand, and specifications. Ideally, they should be 24V lithium iron phosphate batteries.

Are these also suitable for 12V solar panels and batteries?
It needs to be connected to a 24V battery. If you have two 12V batteries, you can also connect them in series to form a 24V battery.
