Obviously do not expect Leica quality for this kind of money. But to be honest for my for stone setting scope this was a fantastic buy at the price. It's quality enough to actually be used seriously. You might want to get a brighter ring light of some kind though. I notice a lot more premium microscopes really..shine in that area. This is also a rather standard inlaid microscope setup, and this would fit a different head if you wanted to upgrade it down the road which i LOVE.

Great set, especially for the price. Spring bracket is extremely useful, since with this bracket you can reach almost anywhere, which is great for electronics repair. Build quality is quite good, but for the price: excellent. Perhaps it need some minor tweaks, but nothing big (like loosening spring a bit etc...)

I'm SO pleased with this microscope- it's very well made and opens up a ton of new possibilities I never thought I'd have, given how expensive other such microscopes are. Finding this one at such an incredible price was wonderful and it works SO well. The only small criticisms I have are that the directions for assembling it were a little lacking- although it's not overly complicated; and that you do need a tiny Phillips screwdriver that isn't included or mentioned. One for working on glasses does the job fine. I'd highly recommend this microscope if you have fine work to do- it's so much better than using an Optivisor-type magnifier. The one that comes with a ball vise is a great buy too- the ball vise is really useful and I paid a fair bit more for mine a year ago by itself, so getting it with the microscope is a bargain.
