Great machine for the things I bought it for. Exceptional price and easy to assemble.

I purchased this product to create my own plaques for donors for community orchards that I install. I saved enough money in the first few uses to pay for the machine. Our use: -I have used this to engrave on anodized aluminum which it happily does at lower power and reasonably high speeds, with a large and dense logo on a 12x12" plaque taking a few hours. Text on a 5x7" plaque with small graphics takes 1-2 hours depending on the content. -I have cut 1/8" hardboard to make jigs to hold our plaques in the right spot every time. It takes high power, low speeds, and 5 passes to do it, but it works. The Good: -Crisp lines -It works on wood and anodized aluminum (our planned uses) -The price is right -Quick assembly (first burn in less than an hour) -Can handle quite small text -Works with Lightburn -Air assist works well The Not-So-Good, or bumps in the road -I would ideally have upgraded to the 20W version for a little more power -Had to get tech support to point me to an app that is required for printing from micro SD card (BURNLAB) -When using BURNLAB, you must move the machine to coordinates 0,0 before each burn or frame if using absolute coordinates otherwise the assumes starting position as 0,0 and runs into the side of the machine without triggering a limit switch -Air assist is not controllable via software (minor complaint) OVERALL: This machine saved our community orchard a lot of money while assisting in fundraising efforts. We will use this for many future community orchard projects. It works well, and the price is right.

This laser kit works very well for cutting thin wood and engraving all sorts of material. for sure there is a learning curve, like with anything. Ther engraving are very detailed and you will be happy with the quality of the unit
