Hi, I am looking at laying vector grid cells over pre existing concrete that is very uneven ( up to a 100ml height difference in some places). Should I be packing up the low areas before laying the cells? If so, what with? Also I am want to use large pebbles (approximately 50ml) …. Do I lay smaller gravel first to stabilise it more before the larger pebbles? Will larger pebbles work? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly I look forward to hearing from you

If the grid is higher than my gravel, is it possible to shorten the height? Either cutting before install or maybe using a heat gun to melt the excess?

You cannot melt with a hot air gun. If you really want to shorten the height, you can cut it before installation. If you don't have professional tools, it's not easy to cut the height neatly. Irregular cutting can also damage the overall performance of the product, such as tensile strength.

I bought this as part of a base (along with stone) to put my 6x4 resin shed on. Easy to manage and so far successful. Only problem for me is I have a lot left over with no use for it. Wish they sold it in smaller sections.

Driveway Install
Absolutely LOVED this product for what we wanted to do. Our driveway was too narrow and we had a huge drainage issue on either side, so the area was just muddy all of the time. We extended the driveway about 10' on either side, installed this product, and then covered with 87 stone. We ended up stapling everything in place and it worked fantastic. I was very pleased with how flat the product shipped and how easy it was to install. We also installed a french drain below it to help with drainage and haven't had an issue in over a year. Just make sure you put a border around the edges to hold everything in place so the system can do its job properly. Solid product!

Great product at inexpensive price. I really used this to control erosion around my new building where I had both slope toward and bank away to control. I put landscape fabric down over dirt and packed rock, then spread and staked down the geocell followed by filling it with #5 stone which holds everything in place. Don't forget the drainage pipe goes in first under everything wrapped with membrane in a bed of rock. I saved a lot by doing it myself - a little bit every day.
