It WORKED beautifully
I took my kayak out on a shallow lake so that I could spend some time just hanging out near the shoreline where it was very shallow (pass than 2ft). This was SO EASY to put in and crank it down to stay in place. I floated out there for an hour and never had the anchor drift. I love the fact that it comes in a storage bag that cinches shut, and that I can easily fit any type of tether in there along with it. My only issue and warning to those purchasing it is that it is definitely not lightweight. This thing is heavy! But it works great!

Better Than Anchoring with a Rock
I look forward to using the VEVOR Sand Anchor for our 13-foot aluminum boat. We love camping and fishing, and we often secure a camping spot along the water, allowing us to moor our little boat at the shoreline, usually using a rock or a tree limb. The VEVOR Sand Anchor is easy enough to knock into the ground (I used clay soil) but requires some effort to remove. Suitable ground would be sandy or muddy, but a rocky landing wouldn't work. Our little boat has little room, so I appreciate its compact size. The Oxford storage bag is a nice addition. Full disclosure, I received this product for free from the Vine program. However, I want to emphasize that I did not receive any payment for this review. It's also important to note that I pay 29% in federal and state income taxes for each item. I apologize for not including any pictures in this review, as my genetic condition causes my hands to shake.

Heavy & works well
I am not a boat or outdoorsy person, but my husband is, and I just got him an inflatable kayak, so I got this anchor for it. I am impressed with the weight - it's really heavy, heavy-duty metal and pretty easy to put into the ground or sands & stays put pretty well. I am a little confused about the whole bungee cord situation - it keeps the anchor at the shortest height but if you remove it, it extends taller but doesn't come apart. It'd be nice if instructions explained all of this. I also wish it came with some rope to attach it to a watercraft. Regardless, it works well for what it is and seems pretty well made - I recommend.

Stout pole anchor with an integrated slide hammer
This anchor is basically a piece of heavy gauge angle iron cut into to a spear with a pointed end. The other end has a metal loop for tying or clipping a rope on and a solid pole that acts as a center guide for a slide hammer. There is a heavy handle that serves as the slide hammer and a bungie cord to keep the two sections together when you are not using the slide hammer. There is not much to go wrong here. I don't see it getting bent unless you left the slide hammer extended and tied off to the top of that for maximum boat leverage on the shaft. Short of that or using it to tie up a barge, rusting away in 40 years seems to be the most likely failure mode. That is to say, it's a heavy-duty, thick piece of iron. The welds are not gorgeous, but appear more than adequate strength wise. The whole thing appears to be coated (probably dipped) in a silver paint.

Good Beach Anchor
This is a heavy duty stake anchor and seems like it will do a great job. The finish isn't great, but it is a sturdy product and is a good design. We had a homemade version and it got stolen at a beach a few years ago, but this one feels just as sturdy and I expect it to work well. The storage bag and included bungee to hold it together are nice touches.

Weapon of War
This thing looks like something a Roman soldier would take into battle. It is a heavy duty hunk of galvanized steel complete with numerous safety warnings concerning pinching your fingers during use. It is not light, and is overkill for light craft like kayaks and such. It comes with a decent cloth bag to carry it in. The only limitation I can see in holding power would be based on the soil it is inserted in. The anchor itself would most definitely hold bigger and heavier boats than advertised, with soil being the first limitation. The hammer part is heavy, and has a long swing. It will pound into all but the most rocky sediment. Standard beach sand and mud will be a breeze. Combine this with a bow anchor, the spike will hold the aft of your boat onto a sandbar well. I have no doubt it will stick the rear of my 24' boat in place.

Love it
This is one tough tool or, if you choose, weapon. It’s heavy, virtually unbreakable, and highly useful. I haven’t yet used it as an anchor, but it’s easily apparent that it would do the job it’s designed for. The built-in hammer is brilliant, and the entire unit would make for a powerful weapon. Highly recommended.

quite heavy with a solid build.
I am planning on using this with my kayak but thought it would be a bit smaller. The size isn't an issue, I just think I assumed it would be smaller. Overall, it has a nice weight (heft) to it and the steel frame is solid and well supported. Looking forward to using it this summer.

Heavy Duty
PROS: Very heavy duty with thick galvanization throughout, strong buigie cord holds slide tightly closed when not in use, 14 inch slide hammer travel gets the job done (watch your fingers), includes a carry case. CONS: It's very heavy, slide is a bit sloppy when fully extended (shaft is considerably smaller than slide hole diameter, nicely shaped pointy end for fast and deep penetration in most sands/soils, however, it will poke through the carry bag quickly if you don't make some kind of protective cover for the pointed end (no point protector is provided). Overall good value works well, and should last a while, would make a nice gift for any boater.

A beast!
Wow, this anchor is both larger and more heavy duty than I was expecting! I have never used a spike anchor before as I'm not in sandbar country, but I believe there is a place for this on my boat as well as I deal with shallow bays. I look forward to trying this one out once boating season starts and will update my review if anything changes my opinion of the product one way or another.
