If you live in an area with hard water like me, this 4L distiller is a worthwhile investment. I've been using it specifically to create distilled water for washing my hair, and the difference is noticeable! It's incredibly easy to use - I run it overnight and once during the day, producing enough water for both me and my partner (about 2 gallons total). The design is solid and well-made, and it even comes with a couple of replacement filters and a cleaning powder to tackle mineral buildup. Clean it is pretty easy, just give it a quick rinse each time. Every two weeks or if there's excessive buildup, I simply add a bit of the cleaning powder and let it run without the lid. I'm surprised to see reviews complaining about the residue – that's literally the entire point of distillation. Of course you'll have mineral buildup after distilling hard water... Overall, if you're looking to improve your water quality, this distiller is a great choice. Highly recommended!

Seems to work well so far. The reason for the 4 stars is number 1: The directions are horrible. They need to be edited and chronologically organized by someone whose English is not a second language. 2: The spout on the water container is very bad. It's not as pointed as normal pouring containers and water goes everywhere if you don't pour super slow (see comparison picture). I also use a funnel when pouring but water still runs down the side of it. I do love the taste of this water and am running it a lot, like a couple times a day. I use it for my tea, general water, C-Pap and carnivorous plants . I hope it holds up.

Takes a few runs to get the parts per million down. My first run I had increased my ppm from my RO water but the second run it was lower at 9 ppm I believe it will easily go to zero with a few more runs. This is a high quality product and I would buy it again.

THE FINISH IS VERY NICE , VERY EASY TO CLEAN , AND QUIET WHEN DISTILLING , I DID HAVE TO HAVE HELP PUTTING THE PITCHER ASSEMBLED OTHERWISE A GREAT PRODUCT THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND.

Funciona muy bien. Destila en tres horas, tres litros de agua perfectamente. Medido cero residuos después de la destilación. Antes de destilar, el agua del grifo tenía 170 ppm. Es un buen producto para la salud. Se puede limpiar después del uso , cuando se ha enfriado, con vinagre. Es muy rápido, sin recurrir al ácido cítrico que viene con la destiladora.

tout fonctionne parfaitement mais ... il reste énormément de calcaire après distillation totale de l'eau ça c'est normal mais difficile a retirer. j'ai trouvé une solution ; je remplie le réservoir jusqu'au trait maximum j'ai acheté une prise interrupteur avec temps rebours que je limite a 3h 30 de ce fait l'appareil ne distille pas toute l'eau et il reste environ 1/2 litre avec tout le calcaire au fond un coup d'éponge suffit. je trouve que cette solution devrait être intégrée dans l'appareil. mais bon ça se fait . pour le gout, j'ajoute a mon eau une petite pincée de sel de guerande et une pincée de bicarbonate de soude le tout passé dans un agitateur pour dynamiser mon eau. c'est super !

We have used a few of these and had multiple water leaks. This new black model seems to have resolved those issues. Both me and my husband are on cpap machines and use with our kcup coffee machine also. Thanks for the improved seals and hose into the water jugs.

I bought this to replace a DC House distiller that broke after 4 months, fire hazard. I'm happy with this one, which is much more sturdier and safer for the same price. Don't buy DC house. They didn't bother to answer me, 2 months and still waiting...

We use a lot of distilled water. We are happy to have this machine to make it for us. We load it with filtered water, not tap.
