This works and a fraction of the price of other VFDs of this capacity I was looking at.

Way cheaper then other options in this power range, and down right usable wich is amazing. Easy to install same as any VFD and has all the standard features. For more technical projects it lacks any form of input soft start or PFC, I disassembled it and it's just a full bridge rectifier to some big capacitors for DC input, if you lose power it can still run and have voltage on it till the capacitor discharges which means you can't trust the output is off if you turn the input breaker off. All of these are reasonable and workable but may not be ideal in all scenarios as the huge inrush current and terrible power factor may trip safety features in circuitry before this device if not simple connected to the output of a standard home breaker. Also would downrate it 20% if you need reliability at the high frequency ranges, the heatsinks big but at the higher frequency end your really pushing those pore IGBTs

I bought two of these to convert three phase wood working equipment to be ran off single phase in the shop. Worked like a charm and this opens doors for me for operating larger equipment.

I’m leaving this review to help anyone in a similar situation to myself. I purchased a 3-phase CNC lathe (a Southwestern Industries Trak TRL 1630SX) but only have single-phase power in my shop. The lathe has a 10HP motor, and I was able to set up this VFD in about 30 minutes and get the machine running smoothly. You’d never know it’s not running on true 3-phase power. I’m particular about buying quality tools, so I was initially skeptical about this relatively inexpensive VFD — especially since name-brand units cost several times more. However, after using it for a month, I’m completely satisfied and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. The motor runs flawlessly, and the setup process was straightforward. I recommend watching a few YouTube videos for setup guidance — it makes the process even easier.

Used to drive 3 phase compressor. Worked like a charm. Been going over a year and no issues.

Drive runs 10HP motors with no issues. Comes preset for 50 hz. You need to go into the programming and change for US motors. Will work as overloads if set correctly. Manual takes several readings and some experimentation with settings to get motor operating correctly. Have 2 of these setup on 10HP air compressors. Note: controller is not setup for conduit connections. I put these in boxes to conceal wiring.

Price - was way below average from any other brand. Easy to use - I had an electrician wire it in for me he was able to find a video online for the individual specs needed. Features- way more than what I needed.
