It provides great sound w/ the mallets on all but the highest note (seems common on these w/o paying hundreds of $). I have a hard time getting a good tone w/ my fingers & thumbs but when I do it’s much quieter so might be a good way of practicing w/o disturbing housemates. The plastic knobs for the fingers was reasonably comfortable on my wide fingers. Although made it easier to hit the right spot on the tongues they didn’t improve the tone from just my fingers. More experienced drummers could more easily get a good tone w/ hands so I’m sure my difficulty is an issue of technique.

Amazing, and peaceful. They must have around the house for the entire family….. we call it timeout meditation time.

This was a hit as a family gift. The grandkids love it. The tone is very soothing.

I absolutely live the sound of this drum. Light almost ethereal... love it!! Would make a fresh gift for many situations! Kids, because it's a softer tone and not so loud. The spiritual community because we love sound vibrations and this little drum vibrates the floor around. And, anyone who loves music/musical instruments. Great value in my opinion.

It has a beautiful tone and really opens the imagination of any musician regardless of age/experience and background. Ultimate teaching tool for young students that are unsure if they want to focus on melody or percussion.

I bought this to enhance my mood, and it does just that. MAN does it do the job. the tone of this little instrument is spot on. I love it and because it is so hardy, I don't mind my G-babies serenading me with beautiful tunes.. love it

I don't know how to play but it sounds good when I strike the surface. I am going to try to learn how to play this. There is a book included if you read music. I just bought it to sit by my fire pit and mediate. I would recommend this item.
