We call this a Rope Jack and I have wanted one for a long time. Now that I have it.......... and have been able to tackle a number of trees I couldn't in the past.......... I love it. This jack works really well and has ample power for any normal operation. Could you bend it up? I suspect you could but you'd need to be a gorilla to do so. For the regular Joe in an regular situation............ this is a great tool. AND, the rope that comes with is a proper match, holds the sprocket well and I suspect will last for generations. Great value for the money! Highly Recommended.

Very sturdy rope and lots of it!

Works great used this to pull a tree that I was cutting to keep it from going the wrong way what shocked me was how strong the rope and winch are when working together

Haven't used it yet but I work for a tree company and use this type of rope hoist a lot seems to be just as good of quality as theirs..other then rope having cuts in it

This feels very solid when using. The locking mechanism has a positive engagement. I've only used in for short pulling (double mode) but it has worked really well at pulling some old trees over as I evict them from the compound...I mean turn them into firewood. I've been using a snatch block and additional straps and rope so that I'm well clear of the tree. The lever arm works well but takes a lot of movement pull the load in...which is common with this type of come along. If you maintain a property or frequently go off road it's always good to have some thing like this on hand.
