This is for the 57mm rolling mill (KD-Y5255). Pros: 1) It has a 4:1 gear reduction which is better than what vevor say in their specs. I tested it at home by marking the top roller and counting the turns of the crank arm per 1 roller revolution and it's 4:1. This is hugely beneficial and makes rolling much easier 2) it doesn't need a stabiliser bar like other cheaper rolling mills. It's just a better and much sleeker construction 3) The 5.5 mm roller opening is generous as it can fit thick texture plates and larger ingots without needing to forge them down with the hammer first 4) the "elliptical" wire grooves are half round and really useful for ring bands I also have an expensive direct drive rolling mill from a professional brand which is a bit small for rolling out ingots so I brought in the vevor to help with that bottle neck. It's doing a good job. The built quality is obviously not the same but it's perfectly functional if you keep the gears oiled, anneal the metal frequently and reduce the thickness in small increments

I bought this a few months ago, but my son just built me a small portable bench on which to use it. I am learning to be a metalsmith and have enjoyed putting textures on my metals with this. This has completed my workshop and I will use the rolling mill regularly. Great product.

So far, I have only used this to roll out flat sheets. It works surprisingly well. The first time I tried it, I rolled it way too thin because I was amazed at how easy it was and I didn't realize how thin I was making it. I look forward to trying to roll out wire as well.

Le premier laminoir avec une largeur de 45mm n'a pas tenu longtemps, le rouleau du haut à commencé à avoir du jeu et était inutilisable au bout de quelques mois. J'ai racheté celui ci et rien à voir avec l'autre, laminage beaucoup plus facile, plus robuste.

I sure do like it! I use it once a day and it save me a lot of hassle and work. I have bever used one but this seems to be just about perfect for my needs.

Came well packaged and works perfectly. Its obviously not as tight fitting with the tolerances in the crank and adjustment handle. But the rollers are tight and do not move around. I have been able to roll out quite a few feet of silver wire with not issue at all.
