Customer Reviews for VEVOR Retractable Air Hose Reel, 1/2 IN x 50 FT Hybrid Air Hose Max 300PSI, Air Compressor Hose Reel Auto-Rewind with 5FT Lead in, Ceiling/Wall Mount Heavy Duty Single Arm Steel Reel, 1/2" NPT Fitting

The frame is strong. The retraction mechanism works well initially; I don't have a lot of cycles on it yet. The fairlead is roller-equipped, though the rollers are small diameter and plastic, so I'm less confidant of their durability. You have to attach the lead hose to the reel hose rotating fitting, and add your own 1/4\" NPT fittings to the input and output hoses. I am surprised that other reviewers though this was \"easy to mount\". Straightforward, yes; Easy not so much. I mounted the wall bracket to a stud using 3/8\" x 3\" lag bolts, pre-drilling the holes first. The more challenging part of mounting was attaching the hose reel frame to the mounting bracket. Getting the provided bolts and nuts in place and start-threaded was a pain, because the full reel is heavy and the hose gets in the way of getting a nut on either bolt. The process only got possible for me when I pulled almost all of the hose off the reel (lightening it considerably and providing more room to get a hand in the space required to start the nuts on the bolts.) Making the bracket taller, and the frame correspondingly bigger to match, would have made it a lot easier to mount. Or, providing a single long bolt that went through the top AND bottom pivot holes would have made it SO much easier to place the bolt while holding the full reel AND to thread a nut onto the exposed bolt end. Minus one star for that design annoyance. Don't even think about mounting this thing to just drywall. Pulling the hose out against the retraction spring puts a lot of stress on the mount, and drywall (unless it's 5/8\" thick, maybe not even then) just will not stand up to use for long. After the reel is mounted, you'll have to attach the lead hose to the rotating fitting on the reel hose, and then add your chosen hose end fittings to the input and output. Two metric size wrenches required.

Have not had it really long enough to do a solid review. So far it has worked good, even when you take all 100 feet, it will wind all the way back with no problem

Bonne qualité et fait le travail pour le prix. Juste un petit HIC, marquer comment régler le ressort que j'ai trop tendu car impossible de ramener le tuyau. Le point d'accroche est parfois aussi difficile.

This is no industrial piece but for a hobbyist or home mechanic is a good choice.

Good nice well built product.

It’s nice and sturdy built very well but I wished I would’ve bought the closed one they just seem to wind the hose back in better

Seems to be the best for the money on the market

Quality all around.

Very well built, easy to hang.
