Great Furnace with 1 small issue, and 1 little nuance
Single Burner
This furnace will provide you with a steady, rugged and reliable melting process. The shiny VEVOR label looks sharp and professional. The body is constructed of heavy guage Stainless steel. The refractory will need to be treated prior to initial use, but the process of doing so is very quick and easy to do. The only problem is the handle. Get a substitute wood handle ready, as the one from the factory will only last approximately 12 to 15 melts and becomes brittle and detaches. The competitors use a small hinge on the top lid, but having the lid removable is easy to get used to and is very functional, so i don't count it as an issue.
Overall, this is a great product and big enough for mostly all base metal casting operations!

Fonderie d'art

This thing makes the heat
12 kg
I did put refractory on the insulation before firing it. I bought the dual burner to make sure it could get the job done so it's first test was copper. If it can melt copper enough to pour easily. It can melt about anything. And it did. The 12k crucible in not a fan of. Which takes nothing away from the unit. It's just a massive, heavy crucible, that will be very intimidating if it's your first time. The thing will look like the sun. Wear very thick welding gloves and no exposed skin. I found an old welding helmet and took the dark plate out and left the clear. This is a major help when you stand over the opening to look in. It open it to pour. Just put sunglasses on under. Otherwise that 12k crucible is gonna feel like it's melting your face. I actually throttled back the propane and didn't need it full blast for a huge crucible and copper. So it will get the job done. I ended up buying a 2k crucible and a good firebrick to keep the smaller crucible up into the flame. Much better manageable deal that way. And melted faster.
The 2 burner unit will go through propane. Kind of his without saying and common sense. 2 burners=twice the propane. It is nice you can shut one off while using the other. Or start out with one until everything nice and toasty. Then fire the other and off you go. The construction isn't bad. After all for the price you're not going to get 3/16 stainless steel unit. But overall gets the job done and so far so good.
