I have successfully used these plates and polymer tubing for hydronic radiant floor heating under oak plank, tile, and heart pine flooring. They are easy to cut, shape and staple to the floors. Based on touch and feel, and thermo images the plates do a nice job transferring / distributing heat.

Just what we needed for in floor heat pex.

These PEX heat transfer plates are the best on the market for the money hands down. They are not 48 inches long though, more like 47 and 3/16ths. so I'm not sure what VEVOR uses as a 4 ft standard. Perhaps they could be members of the alternative facts group, not sure on that one, but I will say I would buy them again should I need more.

These plates are an inexpensive way to attach PEX to your subfloor. I purchased some extruded aluminum plates off of Facebook marketplace to help with my installation. These mount to the subfloor and the Pex "snaps" into it making installation easier. They are VERY expensive, so I cut these into 2FT sections and used at the ends of the loops to hold the Pex up while I stapled up the VEVOR plates. Also, I've heard lots of people complain about *ticking* noise like baseboard from staple-up floors. I haven't heard my floor at all. I give these VEVOR plates a 4-Star just because of their heat transfer capabilities. Where I installed the extruded aluminum plates on my floor is noticeably warmer than where the VEVOR plates are. I would not call them a "plate" either, its more like thick aluminum foil. It definitely conducts heat, but the surface area in contact with the floor really depends on the number of staples you put in it. I think the inefficiency lies with the lack of uniform contact with the floor. Also note, I have not insulated the joist bays, and the Pex is in a crawlspace. They will definitely work better once they are properly insulated. If you live in a very cold climate, be prepared to insulate those joist bays.
