The whole unit yells "quality" and "longevity". Better still, it arrived almost fully assembled. Whilst the spreader does not have an adjustable spinner guard, the guard is set such that it will not spray to one side, so fertiliser will not go into unwanted areas, like swimming pools. Unfortunately, a few design issues prevent me from giving it a perfect score. Nevertheless, a quick trip to the hardware store has fixed most of the concerns below. 1. The hook-shaped feet tend to drag into and against the coming grass and needed to be rotated 180 degrees. 2. The legth of the rear legs is fine for bowling greens or golf putting lawns, that have hard unyielding surfaces, but residential grass tends to have more "give". With the rear legs being so long, if the wheels sink into the grass or its thatch, the spinner tends be tilted downwards. This results in the fertiliser pellets being sprayed more downwards than forwards. I have fixed both of these problems by shortening the rear legs by 50mm and rotating the hooked feet 180 degrees. I re-assembled the legs and feet by internally sleeving them with 250mm lengths of white 16mm diameter steel curtain rod tube. (See photo) Again, a reliable and well built spreader. No doubt future design revisions will be offered with adjustable legs.

I did a lot of research before buying this. Maybe I got a defective product. It was unusable. The gauge that controls flow rate snapped back to zero every time I released the handle. Squeezing the flow on/off handle should do only that. On mine I had to reset the flow rate, and it kept getting stuck then with regular lawn fertilizer I was using. Hopeless. Insult to injury I had to destroy it and dispose of it myself to get a refund as vevor didn’t want it back

No Hopper grate supplied. Flimsy and low quality build. Definitely didn't meet my low expectation. This is going straight to FB marketplace Save your money and get a name brand spreader.
