This handrail is perfect for exiting from my garage. It is strong and steady when mounting in brick using the included anchors. If it is to be mounted to wood then lag bolts should be used.This is much better than I expected and I am happy with my purchase.??

Hand rail was easy to install and very sturdy.

I have 2 steps from my garage to the house. By building code in our area thisdoes not require a rail. Yet quite a few people that visit need the help of a rail. This worked great. I had to do a little testing with a small nail to find for sure where the stud was (stud finder was close) and then installed it with 3.5 inch black lag screws with predrilled holes. Worked great. Two other quick points. This is a heavy duty quality rail I would not install it in anything but a solid surface like a stud, brick or concrete. It comes primed and I painted it black. It painted really nice and easy with standard rust resistant spray paint. I was pleasantly surprised how nice this looked. Also checking code for height to install will ensure effective use (as well as code as needed).

I haven't put it up yet but it is very strong and should be perfect for my short stairway.

I needed something attractive to attach to my hardy board siding - three steps outside my back door - it's PERFECT, even though it's fairly short - VERY GOOD PURCHASE and the grey color is elegant -The ONLY misgiving is that the bolts have some gold in them, which doesn't look great with the grey, but nobody is noticing but me LOL

I needed these handrails because my three steps down to the ground we’re getting harder to do so they should be perfect for the three steps and they are. I got the white ones which went perfectly with my house.

I used this set of handrails at my front door entry. Very heavy duty rails. Great for stability going up my 2 steps.

The railing is perfect. It is the perfect size and is a needed aid for my stepping from my deck into my house. Is it sturdy?...most certainly. And it looks great. I am most satisfied.

This is a much sturdier hand rail than it looks in the pictures. There is a peculiar misstatement in the description, suggesting that this is aluminum. It is a very heavy steel rail, painted nicely. The expansion bolts that came with it are reasonable quality—a half inch masonry drill is all it takes to drill into a brick wall to install them. It comes with a 12/14 mm open end wrench, but I found it much easier to use a socket wrench and ratchet. This makes it much safer to step out of my house to the patio.Update February 19, 2020. I just installed a second one (gray this time) leading out to my garage. Instead of the expansion bolts that came with it, I purchased 1/2” x 3” lag screws and washers locally, because I installed it into the wood framing of the garage. It is solid—anyone who says otherwise has not installed it properly. Additionally, anyone who has installed it without washers and complains of chipped paint has not properly installed it. This makes it much safer stepping into my garage.
