I can say that this little one person auger has paid for it's self in my first two jobs. I drilled 8 holes to full 48" depth at 10" wide. Took less than 2 hours. Holes nice and clean. Cut right through roots about an inch thick. Ground was top soil for 3 feet and the last foot was clay. Got hung up on couple rocks but removed with a prybar. One good thing is the auger attachments are light. Allowing you to pull up with ease. I was worried about the plastic throttle handle, but it gives you an extra one. I would recommend..it's not a forgiving tool but if you've used other augers before you will know. Be prepared for bruises if you have rocks or bricks in your ground.

Auger works surprisingly well my only complaint is the plastic y throttle. It was the first thing to break

Bought to drive post for fence and an awning addition. Renting a machine like this for three days would pay for this machine. If you have projects coming up that require one, Buy this...........Use it at your leisure and keep some money in your pocket.
