I bought this to press honey out of beeswax cappings and it's not great for that. But it works really well for cider.

What can I say - it works well. I quartered the apples and cranked away, dropping the chopped pieces into a large bucket below. When I got tired of hand cranking, I used my power drill. For what I need, it's perfect. Well made, sturdy, reliable.
