I still want the real deal, but this one works for now, takes a little practice and adjusting, piston seems to be tight at first, but once it breaks in, it runs smoothly, prior to inserting meat rub it with some oil or butter and work the piston up and down. Air inside makes it tight, so go easy, it worries me that if something breaks won't be able to fix it, don't know if spare parts are available, something to consider. If seller reads this, please clarify if parts are available for purchase if something breaks. Other than that work fine, makes 7oz patties and cleans easily.

all is working Great

We butcher and process our own meat when hunting. My dad and I ground the beef, made 45 patties, sealed and put them in the freezer in under an hour. Usually that’s a 2-3 hour affair. If you’re making lots of burgers it’s worth it.Also super easy to clean.

More ease work excellent

This is a heavy duty piece of commercial grade equipment. Quality throughout. Worth every penny and then some.

We love this patty maker. It took a bit to get used to it using, but we love it. For some reason our patties were turning out lopsided, so we pressed down, turned it 180 degrees and pressed down again, it turns out perfect. Make sure you press the hamburger tight into a ball to get air pockets out before trying to press it. I purchased this 6 inch patty maker because we like big burgers, but I think the 5 inch is more the size of most hamburger buns. Again, I prefer the 6 inch, especially with a bunch of burger toppings. I noticed some of the reviews think there's no clearance to get the hamburger into the press. They just aren't using the machine correctly, there's a button you need to push to get it to drop down so you have the clearance you need. This machine, is awesome, I recommend it.

Dislike, no instructions. Need to know press pin to drop bowl. Likes easy to clean and large 6 inch patties.

The unit arrived undamaged xternally but internally there is a bronze bearing on the vertical shaft which came loose and slid down jamming the pinion gear used to lift the press which would probably strip or break the lift gear teeth if the lever was forced. Repair required that the the unit be disambled and the bearing be reseated and held in place with epoxy. In addition the set screw which causes the shaft to rotate and turn the press away from the meat cup had to be adjusted as it was to tight and set with blue loctite to keep it in place. The unit was then tested, regreased with white lithium and reassembled. Now it works like a champ and burgers are popping out just fine.The bearing coming loose was probably caused by incorrect installation or jostled loose during shipping.If you are not interested or capable of making repairs I'd skip this purchase. In reading other reviews I suspect that others have experienced failures because of the same problems.This is a good unit when it works correctly. Its easy to use, clean and solid. It can press other foods besides beef burgers as I just made pork stuffing burgers which were great on turkey sandwiches. I would definitely recommend this unit.

We have a small cafe and this thing saves us a ton of time, and keeps portioning consistent. It's easy to clean. We've only been using it for a short while so I can't talk on durability yet, but so far so good. I just wish they had included more sizes of molds for the burgers. Mp
