We have used this on two jobs now. Springs are always a bit scary to do but these make it feel a lot more safe. I was really impressed with the quality. Definitely a lot better than the other sets I have used in the past from different brands.

I was looking at some YouTube videos about changing spring coils with similar kind of coil spring compressors and was not very encouraging considering all the safety risks. But still I decided to go ahead and bought this one looking at a few of the safety features for the same price or lower than the others. I was very surprised with the build quality of the tool with two main safety features. The teeth grabs onto the coil and no risk of flying off under compression and with the spacer it holds the two compressors in place stopping it from sliding. It was very easy and safe to use. I am not nervous about changing a coil spring at home anymore and I definitely recommend this tool for all wanting to do a strut replacement at home. Thanks Vevor for this wonderful tool.

Added a lift kit to my jeep , compressed the springs to get them on. These are solid. I did add anti seize to the threads but never had any issues. Due to space restrictions I had to use just one on the spring and it worked perfectly, never felt unsafe. I do not recommend ever doing that but in this case it was a minor amount of compression and no danger of causing any harm. My point is these are easy to use , they work as Intended.

Quand j'ai reçu le coffret, je l'ai trouvé plutôt intéressant. La qualité semblait bonne. Objectivement, si j'avais rédigé mon commentaire après la 1ere utilisation ç'aurait probablement été : \"C'est une grosse M.... compliquée à mettre en œuvre et avec un défaut rédhibitoire en terme de sécurité. Fuyez ce produit.\" Mais une fois qu'on a compris comment l'utiliser correctement (je ne suis pas néophyte, j'ai déjà changé au moins 15 paires d'amortisseurs avec des outils plus rudimentaires), c'est un outil très sécurisant et efficace. Il faut juste apprendre à l'utiliser. Ce n'est pas intuitif comme sur les photos de l'annonce. Une alerte de sécurité : il n'y a pas de blocage lorsque vous dévissez complètement la tige filetée. Donc vous pouvez très bien voir la tige filetée sortir de son logement alors même que le ressort est encore comprimé. Et ça c'est dangereux. Il aurait été bien de faire en sorte qu'on ne puisse pas dépasser un certain seuil de dévissage. Pour être honnête, ceci m'est arrivé parce que j'avais mal positionné l'outil sur le ressort. Mais quand même…. Après plusieurs utilisations, je regrette juste que les crochets qui se fixent sur le ressort ne soient pas plus longs, car selon où on les positionne ils viennent buter contre la structure de l'amortisseur. Sinon, j'apprécie cet outil. Maintenant que je sais m'en servir.
