As a first time wood turner I’ve been on a steep learning curve, e.g. I snag better than I skew, but that’ll get better.
The lathe itself arrived in good order and was relatively easy to assemble, although the “manual” leaves a bit to be desired.
The biggest problem I found was keeping the tool rest steady and tight, a couple of washers on the height adjustment tightened that and replacing the grub screw with an m6 bolt holds the actual rest firm.
Other than those couple of quibbles I’m sure there will be plenty of shavings to come.
