Arrived in good condition and timely.
After turning a few items I found:
- toolrest holder and toolrest post were different diameters causing the rest to move around and tilt. Had to insert a shim to stop movement.
- headstock and tailstock centres misaligned, adjusted. This was mentioned in the manual.
- tailstock twists when tightening, tolerances are too great. Need a block between rails to stop movement.
- toolrest and tailstock clamp handles interfere with each other when doing small work. Reverted to using a nut and spanner
- tailstock handle retaining screw thread stripped, waiting on response to a ticket. Possibility could resize to larger thread
- slowest speed (1100rpm) is too fast for some items, especially for a 250/300mm bow. Need different ratio cone pulleys or introduce a variable speed controller.
As stated, a good starter but my issues have limited capability and enjoyment.
