It works great in my shop. It does everything it supposed to. I really like it. It’s worth the price.

I wish I would have read the discrimination closer this one is super powerful but does not have variable speed I am going to figure out how to add it. The cord was short and ground wasn’t hooked up easy fix. In the flat grinder arrangement it’s a bit noisy but to be expected. The is no guard so if you don’t have belt alined look out lol best to stand to the side till your satisfied with the tracking. Cuts fast and clean.

Just got this today small dents in the motor fins but not serious. The tensioner was a little stiff. The 2x72 belts that I bought(as I thought they would fit) didn't fit if I used the tensioner. So far I'm pleased just have to find 2x82 belts to grind steel

If you order Item 782J79, Mfr. Model GSWB410645 from Grainger you can convert this to 72" with no permanent modifications. It is a smaller gas piston with the same pressure. Drill out the ends of the new piston with a 5/16th" bit to fit the original hex screws, swap the pistons and now you have a grinder that works for 72" with no permanent modifications and you can still tilt the flat platen/use the top/bottom areas of the belt for rounding etc.

Very nice belt sander. Cut 1 1/2 inch off the end of the tool holder bar and then 2x72 belts worked fine.

I'm a blacksmith and knife maker. I was looking for another sander that wouldn't cost so much. When I saw this one, I took a chance. I'm so glad I did. This thing is my go to grinder in the shop. Everything came in two huge plywood boxes. Simple to set up, and almost no vibrations. It's got plenty of power to eat through carbon and stainless. My only regret is that I didn't get the variable speed control. It would have been way cheaper than buying a new motor(3 ph) and a VFD.

Makes metal work so much easier. Very happy I purchased this unit. Well made. I had to modify it slightly though to be able to use 2 × 72" standard belts. Fairly easy though. Planning to make a few other jigs as well.

My first large belt grinder but seems to be a great machine. About 1/3 the cost of similar items I viewed online.

Make sure to ground it or you will get zapped. ( I found out from my own experience) grinder has plenty of power and the variable speed is awesome. Overall happy with its performance

Great for knife making. You can use 2x72 belts with the contact wheel, but not the flat grinding arm.
