My kids 8 and almost 12 both like it. My almost 12 year old is a big boy, 5 foot 5, 130+ pounds and he fits fine sitting. Seems sturdy, hasn't tipped and my youngest likes to go fast and sit on it in different ways. Easy to put together, straight forward instructions. The screws and Allen key are in a sealed bag. I will say the largest screw is already attached and covered with the black silicone cover so you might think you only got the smaller screws and missing the 1 large one mentioned in the instructions. It's already on the chair so make sure you look before assuming it's not there. We haven't had any issues with loose screws like some others have mentioned. Make sure you tighten every screw good before using. I do wish it didn't have an elephant on it and was just plain, makes it look babyish, most older kids don't care to see it but it's hardly noticeable. You can go quite fast on it depending how you lean so I definitely wouldn't leave a younger child unattended and make sure you show them how to stop if they are going to fast and want to slow down and get scared. Even my wild need for speed daughter had a few times she needed help stopping lol

Feels high quality, easy to put together, and felt safe with my weight! (80kg)

I've purchased this to use in my speech therapy clinic for those with sensory needs. It's exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend. The instructions were very clear, and the assembly took less than 5 minutes. The base feels strong, the spin is very smooth, and it did not show any signs of tipping with my weight (80kg) and spinning very quickly! I would recommend supervising those using it for the first time, as the spin is rapid and may feel uncontrollable for those not used to the mechanism.

Don't buy this if you love the sounds of kids squabbling

I bought one of these as a sensory support for my 4year old. All my kids love it and I had to buy another.i it has no problem hsndling my adult self, and copes very well with the kuds speedy spins. They use it all the time. If they are in front of the TV they are actobely spinning, they colaborste on experiments with toys anf centrifugal force (don't tell thdm they are learning) & it's a campsite when the dolls need a holiday. The best thing in our playroom.
