I use chamber vac with this unit. pump would be asier to use. just something for other people to consider.

Received the first order and the heavy glass lid had a large chip on the edge and the gasket had two cuts from impact. It worked well enough but I didn't pay for a broken unit. Contacted the vendor and they agreed to send out a replacement free of charge (as you would expect of great customer service) but did not have to return the original. Overall works well. It would have been nice to see some clamps to secure the lid in place but the lid is heavy enough to seal as long as the gasket that is placed on the rim of the container is in place. Surprised at how much I ended up using this. Good deal at the price I paid for it.

This thing works great! Held a vacuum for over 48 hours with the pump turned off which was very impressive. The lid is heavy duty tempered glass and the fittings/hardware are good quality.

Doesn't seal a vacuum unless you put grease around rim.

The pot is made of relatively thin steel. So, under full vacuum the bottom is pulled in and bulges a little. The glass lid is solid and heavy, no complains. However the lids orange gasket requires a lot of grease and substantial pressure from the top to seal and stay sealed. The connection fitting is strange, I replaced it with a quick-connect. The main issue (for me) is the vacuum gauge. It is worthless close to the full vacuum. It seems to peg around -27in\\Hg and does not move any more. The vacuum at the same time continues to drop (i have another gauge to refer to). This gauge is fine if you pull "dirty" vacuum for a quick de-gas. Not good for a deep vacuum at all. If the pot will stay air tight after many vacuuming cycles remains to be seen.

Bräuchte zusätzlich noch einen Adapter für meine Vakuum pumpe. Würde bei neubeschaffung aber darauf achten, das das Manometer nicht im Deckel steckt, da es A) den Einblick und damit die Sicht einschränkt und b) bei der Ablage des Deckels (ich möchte Partikel auf der Unterseite vermeiden) der Deckel top down liegt und da liegt er weder stabil noch sicher.

Der Boden biegt sich unter Vakuum nach oben, man muss also etwas aufpassen dass nichts umkippen kann. Sonst funktioniert alles wie gewünscht! Der montierte Luftfilter war beschädigt, immerhin lag ein zweiter bei, kommt wohl öfter vor 😁

parfaitement correspondant à mes attentes. Le montage est très simple, et tout à l'air de très bonne qualité. Je m'en sert pour débuller de la résine ou stabiliser certains bois et jamais déçu. Le nettoyage de la cure au besoin se fait très bien, les joints tiennent bien le choc et les raccords sont toujours parfaitement étanches. Rien à redire.

On receipt, I was not able to get a seal between the lid and chamber without using the small clear split silicone piece on the rim of the chamber. Examination of the chamber top surface showed a small weld line depression that resulted in a leak path. I cleaned and filled the weld line with JB Weld Original epoxy. Now the chamber and orange lid gasket seal very well without the need of the extra clear silicone band. The chamber feels quite heavy duty, as does the 3/4" thick glass lid. The plumbing parts, including the gauge, all sealed well when assembled. The gauge zero'd perfectly when it was 'burped' by temporary removal and reinstallation of the black plug (I don't cut a vent hole in the plug because I often have the gauge upside down and I don't want the glycerin fill to leak). The orange lid gasket does have some less than smooth surface on one side but the other side is smooth all around. The hose connection tends to loosen over time while under vacuum unless well tightened before starting a vacuum run. I am able to pull a gauge reading of 26.5 in Hg at 4000' altitude and, with the valves closed and the pump off, hold it without measurable vacuum loss in excess of 48 hours. I am also able to maintain a leak-free dynamic vacuum for as long as I need to keep the pump running (max to date has been 16 hours continuous). After a number of runs (typically 12 hours / run) with stabilization resin (Cactus Juice), I have not observed any degradation in the orange seal or any of the vacuum line components. With the chamber rim leak fix, this unit is working very well for me.
