This is an outstanding piece of kit. Well made and works well. I've added a microscope camera which takes it to the next level and ideal for working on watches, which will be its primary role. I'm very impressed with the quality of a couple of Vevor items I've purchased laterly and you can't beat the price! One gripe would be the useless instructions that come with it, but I suppose you can't have everything can you. Well worth buying for my intended purpose.

Ease of use is marked down because the instruction manual does not match the item supplied. As this microscope is very similar to the AmScope SM1T I used their manual instead. Neither manual mentioned the need to undo grubscrews located in the eyepiece tubes, essential if you are to put the ocular lenses in place without gouging a line down them. The supplied Barlow lenses require great care to avoid cross-threading when screwing them into place; screw anticlockwise first to locate the correct alignment. Initial use for watch repair and for turntable stylus wear checking suggest this microscope will be really useful. The zoom and focus controls appear smooth, and easy to use. I have not tried the camera port yet.

I was a little hesitant buying something with no reviews from a seller I couldn't find a whole lot of information about. In general, the build quality leaves a little to be desired; as you can see in the photo, there's a weird split in the finish of the base and one of the corners is chipped (and maybe burnt too?). The base itself is on the lighter side so I ended up using some cheap c-clamps to mount it to my bench so I can use it with the arm angled away from my workspace without it tipping. None of that affects the functionality though. At over $150 less than a comparable Amscope (there was a $50 off coupon when I bought it), I'm extremely happy with it overall.

Genuinely a fantastic microscope. I've looked for a while for one - prices are comparable to buying direct in China, but with much faster delivery, by months.

Pros: Well packed in molded polystyrene and cardboard box Great Optics Well Built with sturdy metal stand All lens openings protected with screw on dust caps Easy to assemble - undo 2 eyepiece screws and 1 thumbscrew to mount the head and eyepiece optics - tighten up the screws and then screw on the barlow lens either 0.5x or 2.0x and the outer glass assembly and you have a working Microscope Good operating distance - with 0.5x barlow lens i get 110mm to 135mm depending on zoom so plenty of room for working under the lens to carry out inspection, soldering, hot air rework etc Cons: Only Chinese Printed Manual All in all a very well designed robust Trinocular Microscope - in the future I will be adding a Raspberry Pi HQ Camera to the Monocular camera c-mount for capturing the images
