I plugged it In a month ago in a 2004 Ford F-150, it starts up no problem and the battery is full, easily starts the truck over and over. This little 20w solar panel kicks butt.. I will say I am very aware of unplugging it prior to starting the truck, I've heard the reverse voltage can hurt them.. I haven't had an issue, but like I say I'm aware of unplugging it..

The 20w and 30w solar panels are perfect for charging my trolling motor and boat motor batteries. They are the perfect size any easily tucked away when not in use.

Unsure about how long this polymer sheets PV panel will last, metal frame and glass surely will last longer but will be heavier etc. The back white box is unnecessarily big and thick , wish it were thinner at least since it sticks out. What you need to know is there is a blocking diode so when not generating , it is not discharging the battery either, some cheap ones (including supposedly battery charging PV, dont have diode so it discharges battery and PV gets hot too, no good). the sealed extension is very convenient as well as several option from clamps to just terminal etc is very handy , the 12V cigarette lighter socket, you need to use with caution since it is low current but higher than 12V so small electronics will get fried if you connect to it. overall I am happy with purchase since light and small . It is similar physical size to a 10W monocrystaline PV I had before, but this charges must faster so I believe it is close to 20W, it charges so fast that I needed to connect a charge controller, since it was overcharging the battery, little current but high that 12.8V no good for battery and electronics, even though car's charging system can get up to 14V if needed but no good for battery's health. Remember to get a charge controller for small battery or planning to leave the PV connected all the time

If you use the cigarette lighter to charge, you will want to check that it's wired correctly with the positive and negative. Otherwise it may not charge correctly. Works great otherwise. Charges my car battery very quickly. Very happy with the product. Just a setback with the lighter plug. Highly recommend it.

Seems to work well on my Cart, only use the cart every couple of weeks
