Bought as a replacement for a Hobart Soool Gun and works perfect with the Hobart 240 Iron Mam

It is exactly the same as the Hobart version. Overall quality seems great/same as the Hobart version especially for the price!

Great price for what I’ll be using it for. It’s not production shop quality but what can you expect when you’re saving a few grand compared to the brand name spool guns. So far very pleased with it.

I was nervous that this wouldn’t work since it was $700 less than the name brand comparable spool gun. It’s easy to set up and use. It lays beautiful welds.

This is a well-built unit that is typically used for aluminum welding from a conventional MIG welding machine. The marketing information shown on the Vevor description states; "Suitable for 0.030" and 0.035" Flux Core/Solid/Aluminum Welding Wires", and it goes on to show 3 different types of drive rollers, each appropriate for a specific type of wire. In the graphic, the Knurled roller (shown on top) is listed for Flux Core Wire, the V-groove roller (shown in the center of the graphic) is listed for Solid Welding Wire, and the U-groove roller (shown in the lower position) is listed for Aluminum Welding Wire. I assumed that this unit would therefore come with 1 of each type of roller. I was wrong. As I stated, spool guns are most often purchased to run aluminum wire from a conventional MIG machine, yet this unit only includes a Knurled roller (not recommended for Aluminum wire). Making matters worse, Vevor doesn't offer individual parts for this unit. I was able to locate and order the correct drive roller on EBay. If this unit had included the rollers for all the types of wires were listed the the description, I would have rated it 5 stars on Quality, Features and Overall.

Not very happy with the conection as it dosnt fit my welder and cant find an adaptor to suit it so was a waste of time and money
