After several weeks of use I have found this pump to be the equal of my previous, more costly, Hayward pump. I appreciate the union fittings, but must caution care be taken to assure the nut on the intake is properly tightened to assure no air intake. One disappointing element is the potential for breakage on the lid. It appears fragile and from other reviews I see this is the weak point on this pump. Given replacement parts are unavailable this is the only down side I see on this pump. I have seen several postings regarding reduced electric consumption due to this unit being 110 V as opposed to 220. I seriously doubt you will see any improvement here. I believe this is simply a perception regarding 110 versus 220. It takes the same amount of force regardless of voltage applied. It could be this motor has a better efficiency factor than comparable, models, but I have seen no difference thus far. I recommend this pump as a viable alternative to comparable units.

Very good pump! Very satisfied of it !! Recommend 100&
