Like some other people, I was looking for a fire ring to convert into a smokeless fire pit. The steel is adequate for this purpose as it is approximately 1/8 inch thick. It was delivered without any damage even though the box wasn’t so lucky. Not difficult to put together either.

I searched for many models but the specs were never easy to find I bought this fire pit a few months ago and is performing strong it was very easy to put together the gauge of the steel is very adequate for a fire pit

A little tricky to put together but if my husband would have listened to me it would have gone a little faster! LOL!

I haven’t had the chance to use it yet but I like it and think it’s pretty cool and useful.

This is a great product for any DYI who is tackling the fire pit installation process and wants to save some money. This product was recommended on YouTube, but after assembling and installing, I found some issues with the product. The assembly was fairly easy, but the aligning of each side was a bit tricky at first and didn't always seat well at the connecting points. After assembling you have a little gap, about 1/8" between each piece so if that is going to bother you, then don't buy this or be prepared to see it all the time. The build quality is okay, but could've used more weld around the seams. I'll attached photos for your viewing pleasure. Overall, I would still recommend this particular insert because of its 10 inch height. Many of the other inserts are 4 to 6 inches. Hope this help you in your decision. God Bless!!!

Decent value compared to others costing double the price almost....save yourself some money and get this and use the rest ya save to get your stone blocks for your ring.

So far, it feels very heavy duty will set up our fire pit this coming week and update my review. We will see how it withstands the elements.

Looks good and works fine. Edges are entirely flush when touching but not a big deal.
